Update: Gunsmoke (1955) s20e7

2 more pics of Eric Olson as announced. Also showing wearing a hat and jacket (brief scene at the end) and a headshot to show how the actor looked like in 1974 (one year before “The Swiss Family Robinson”).

Sorry, I’m currently very busy and rarely watch Western movies, especially not online. And there are few of them on TV.

Please also check my new pigtails blog, or my other blogs or the archives.

Gunsmoke (1955) s20e7

The final season (1974). I think this is obviously Eric Olson “The Swiss Family Robinson (1975)”

Beige pants and typical suspenders. At the end also with a (suit ?) and a hat.

More pics later.

Somehow I don’t like him here. Maybe because of the German dubbing voice. He’s also quite young.

Rating 4 for now only.

Main entry rating up to 9

Update of this episode:

Un château en Espagne (2007)

Comedy film
-Year: 2007
-Country: France
-Who in clothing: boys ~10
-Available on DVD: yes
B&W or color: color
-I own: no
-Clothing occurence: low ?
-Rating: 5/10
-Rating: *****
-Comment: At least one of the two brothers (I think Martin Jobert with the darker hair) in Cowboy clothes. His brother filming him.

Looks like a quite interesting movie but I haven’s seen it completetly. English title: My Very Best Friend.

But I assume few or very few scenes.

So rating 4-5 for now.

Winnetous Sohn

Family film starring Uwe Ochsenknecht
-Year: 2015
-Country: Germany
-Who in clothing: boys, girls ~9-11
-Available on DVD: yes
B&W or color: color
-I own: yes, TV recording
-Clothing occurence: medium+
-Rating: 5/10
-Rating: *****
-Comment: Several boys and some girls partly in Western clothes. Most notable the chubby main character 10 yo Max with glasses (Lorenzo Germeno, also riding). Many kids and also grown-ups.

Has been aired yesterday, but I missed most parts. Very interesting. Not a real Western but about a play with good Western settings. Quite unusual.

I like chubby boys, but somehow not this one. Also of interest longhaired Tristan Göbel.

Needs to be rechecked later (available on the Kika mediathek),

For now rating 5 only.

Update: Now completely seen. Tristan Göbel is very good. But for Western clothes, rating 5-6 is OK. ather a family movie than a Western. And fewer Western scenes than first assumed.

Rooster Cogburn

Western starring John Wayne
-Year: 1975
-Country: USA
-Who in clothing: boys, girls
-Available on DVD: yes
B&W or color: color
-I own: yes, TV recording
-Clothing occurence: very low ?
-Rating: 2/10
-Rating: **
-Comment: Several boys and girls at different ages (including teens) walking out of an one-room-schoolhouse. I think mainly or only Indian kids. I only noticed only this brief scene of interest. But maybe I have missed some parts?

Final part of the “recent” Western special broadcasting day.

Also starring Katharine Hepburn.

Typical Western. There are much better ones. Late Western with old JohnWayne and old Katharine Hepburn.

For younger actors’ clothes rating 2-3 only.

Old Surehand

Western starring Pierre Brice
-Year: 1965
-Country: Germany, Yu
-Who in clothing: boys, girls ~5-10
-Available on DVD: yes
B&W or color: color
-I own: yes, partly TV recording
-Clothing occurence: low
-Rating: 3/10 ?
-Rating: ***
-Comment: Some boys and girls (but mainly younger boys) in typical clothes. Boys in pants with suspenders and girls in dresses, some with pigtails.

Part 3 of 4 from the recent Western special broadcasting day.

Typical German Winnetou Western, but I don’t like them and only noticed few good scenes of younger actors. Der Ölprinz (rating 5) has better scenes. Maybe they are even the same kids?

So rating 3-4 only.

Please also note my new 5th blog about Pigtails (f/m). Many of them are/will be Western movies as well.
