Gunsmoke (1955) s20e23

gunsmokes20e23gunsmokes20e23b

Some boys and I think girls as well (Basques) in I think s20e23. Different hats.

Basques are quite rare in a Western. More common are Mexicans.

There are definitely better episodes. Only one more in this series to come.

For this rating 3-4. Main entry rating up to 9

Stark! – Kinder erzählen ihre Geschichte

Kids documentary series
-Year: 1999-
-Country: D / USA
-Who in clothing: Crowley 11
-Available on DVD: no
B&W or color: color
-I own: no
-Clothing occurence: low *
-Rating: 5/10 ?
-Rating: *****
-Comment: At least one darkhaired, US ranch and rodeo boy called Crowley from Colorado in blue jeans and a high Cowboy hat in the 2016 episode “Crowley – Jeder Cowboy braucht ein Pferd”. Riding in chaps while branding. Also other good sitting scenes but he even looks younger than 11 yo. Also some few other boys, but probably not wearing hats.

He even brushes his tooth in a Cowboy hat.

German production, maybe filmed a bit earlier. 15 minutes. Available on the ZDF mediathek.

Rating 5-6 only, although I like chaps.

For more infos about this series check out my bib overalls blog (rating 6 / 4 ) and my shiny shorts blog (rating 6).

Gunsmoke (1955) s20e19

gunsmoke-s20e19gunsmoke-s20e19b

At least 2 boys in I think s20e19 (or 18). One younger boy is being baptized in the lake. An older boy runs away before being baptized. Typical pants with suspenders. Also showing some girls. Reminds me of a very similar scene in The Waltons.

I missed most of this episode and can’t say much more.

Also previously Lance Kerwin in s20e17. Update with pic on my bib overalls blog, rating 9.

-Available on DVD: no ?
B&W or color: b&w

-Rating: 3/10 ?
-Rating: ***
-Comment: Virginia Weidler as orphan and an older teen boy wearing Cowboy hats. There’s also 6 or 7 yo but older looking Mickey Kuhn as 5 yo Bobby, but probably not in Western clothers. This is not a Western.

I don’t know the complete movie and found it by coincidence.

More movies about Virginia Weidler on my pigtails blog.

Rating 3 for now for this scene. I think not officially on DVD.

I don’t know this series but it looks great.

Obviously not on DVD. Also starring Mark Hamill. 13 episodes had been produced (aired only 8, 4+4).

Rating 6 for now.
