This is my 4th blog about feature films, TV series and documentaries with clothes of mainly kids and teens in Western movies. I collect here informations, trailer videos, low-res images and personal comments/ratings.
TV Western. 2 parts, Pierre Brice -Year: 1998 -Country: Germany -Who in clothing: Timmy ~12, boys ~ -Available on DVD: yes
–B&W or color: color -I own: yes, partly TV recording -Clothing occurence: medium ? -Rating: 7/10 ? -Rating:******* -Comment: Manuel Trautsch as 12 yo Quaker boy Timmy in a typical Quaker’s hat and knickers (also without the hat), also some Indian boys most notably Lowell Raven as Little Biber (pic below). Also at least one other, younger Quaker boy and 2 girls. Riding scenes.
On 3sat. Still running. More infos coming soon. Also other Westerns on today’s Western day.
Very interesting. Rating 7 for now.
Also on TV “The Man From the Alamo” rating ~3. Next to an older Mexican boy also some others. Update:
Adventure family film /drama -Year: 2000 -Country: USA -Who in clothing: Georgie ~9, men -Available on DVD: yes
–B&W or color: color -I own: no -Clothing occurence: very low ? -Rating: 4/10 ? -Rating:**** -Comment: Thomas Curtis and his film dad in jeans and Cowboy clothes. Also in bib overalls (other blog, rating 4 as well).
Funny scene. While this robbery, he’s kissing a girl.
I don’t know the complete movie, but assume very few scenes.
Handsome blonde boy, but quite young. Looks like an interesting movie.
Famous family Christmas movie -Year: 1983 -Country: USA -Who in clothing: Ralphie ~12 -Available on DVD: yes
–B&W or color: color -I own: no, partly TV recording -Clothing occurence: very low -Rating: 4/10 ? -Rating:**** -Comment: ~12 yo Peter Billingsley as 9 yo main character Ralphie in white Western clothes including hat and scarf and cow chaps in a short dream scene. Also his younger brother in rare bib overalls (other blog rating 3). Set in the 1940s.
By updating my entry on my other blog, I found this scene by coincidence.
Great and funny movie, although I don’t like this 2 boys. Some great scenes like a tongue stuck at a frozen pole. (Some more movies with this on my sailor suit blog). Another movie with this family after the 1966 novel by Jean Shepherd is Ollie Hopnoodle’s Haven of Bliss (rating 5).
Interesting clothes, but for this brief scene rating 4 only.
Family film, part 2 -Year: 2014 -Country: Germany -Who in clothing: Bibi, Tina, boys -Available on DVD: yes
–B&W or color: color -I own: no, partly TV recording -Clothing occurence: medium ? -Rating: 6/10 ? -Rating:****** -Comment: Next to the girls Bibi and Tina (pic 2, also riding) and maybe some other females including women, there’s a boy in Cowboy clothes (also close up including rear view) and also an older teen boy/young men. Many kids in costumes at the end. Some as Cowboys.
Has been aired today, but unfortunatley I missed it almost completely. So needs to be rechecked next time. Also a woman in bib overalls (other blog rating 3).
Also Soccer playing boys (soon on my shiny shorts blog, rating 4).
TV movie Jodie Foster. Disney-Land s16e18 -Year: 1970 -Country: USA -Who in clothing: Mark 9, Jamie 14 -Available on DVD: yes
–B&W or color: color -I own: no -Clothing occurence: often ? -Rating: 6/10 ? -Rating:****** -Comment: 9 or 10 yo Eric Shea, redhaired 14 yo Mitch Vogel (“Bonanza”) and 7 or 8 yo Jodie Foster starring in this interesting looking Disney TV movie.
I haven’t seen it yet. Typical clothes of that time, pants with suspenders and hats. Also pajamas. I don’t like Mitch Vogel. Eric Shea I like more. He also starred in Gunsmoke, LHOTP and some other movies, I partly have on my other blogs (bib overalls and sailor suits).
Rating 6-7 for now. Probably there are better (Disney) movies.
