Western starring Roy Rogers -Year: 1946 -Country: USA -Who in clothing: boys ~8-16 ? -Available on DVD: yes
–B&W or color: b&w -I own: no -Clothing occurence: often ? -Rating: 6/10 -Rating:****** -Comment: Another interesting movie, starring Tommy Ivo and also several other (at least 13) boys and teen boys, including 15 yo Tommy Cook, 11 yo Johnny Calkins, 9 yo Teddy Infuhr, The Robert Mitchell Boy Choir (as Ranch boys) and others. Also at least 1 woman wearing a Cowboy hat.
Nice ranch and riding scenes and also showing chaps. Most boys wearing jeans, chaps and hats.
Rating at least 6-7. But I only have checked it briefly. Unfortunatley the movie is in b&w.
There are different DVDs available, I can’t say about each image quality. At least some are DVDr. PD Movie. 68 minutes and 54 minutes cut. So watch out.
Western starring Charles Starrett -Year: 1950 -Country: USA -Who in clothing: Todd ~11 ? -Available on DVD: yes
–B&W or color: b&w -I own: no -Clothing occurence: medium- -Rating: 6/10 -Rating:****** -Comment: Another movie starring Tommy Ivo. Probably filmed earlier as he looks younger than 13 but rather 10 or 11.
At the beginning completely in black clothes including a black hat and a black scarf over his mouth, also riding and then sitting inside (pic 5). In the middle of the movie dark or black pants and a lighter shirt (according to colorized pics light green or red on others). And a beige hat (pics 1-3). At the end in a checkered shirt and riding as well (pic 4).
Although b&w very interesting. But I think rather few scenes with him.
Rating at least 6-7. Available on DVD. 55 minutes only (what was usual these days).
Western, William Powell -Year: 1952 -Country: USA -Who in clothing: David ~15 ? -Available on DVD: VHS *
–B&W or color: color -I own: no -Clothing occurence: medium+ -Rating: 6/10 ? -Rating:****** -Comment: Tommy Ivo in different clothes. Pic 2 might be sleepwear (long johns ?) Also a blonde young boy at the beginning.
As announced, I checked some more of Tommy Ivo. I found some few movies b&w, but most are not Westerns (My Three Sons, Lassie). Some, I have on my other blogs like Belles on Their Toes, Father is a Bachelor, I even own on DVD also starring Gary Gray). I found this one on archive.org. Movie should be into Public Domain. Officially only on VHS. Some DVD offers available, not sure about their quality.
Rating 6-7 for this. More movies coming later.
He also starred in Adventures of Wild Bill Hickok (currently rating 7)

By coincidence even a Christmas movie. And very nice Western setting.
I only have checked it briefly. Kids don’t appear that often.
Part of the Love Comes Softly movie series. Here I only have
Love’s Abiding Joy (rating 5) but this movie here has even better Western scenes. More movies on my bib overalls blog.

I only have rechecked it at high speed and only noticed few good Western clothes scenes.

-Who in clothing: Ken ~14

-Comment: Roddy McDowall in faded jeans, sometimes also riding (at 20 minutes) and with a white Cowboy hat. Some nice sitting scenes. There are also some scene of a very young girl (but not of interest).
Thanks very much Jody, for his comment and photo album (where pic 1 is from).
Nice movie and handsome actor, but somehow I don’t like him that much. It’s also not a real Western and no typical Western clothes except for the hat (which I didn’t remember and so haven’t made a post earlier). Luckily already in color.
Rating 6-7 only. I have to recheck the complete movie at slow speed.
Short film. 7 min -Year: 2016

-Comment: Some boys (and maybe girls) costumed as Cowboys and Indians. At least 2 or 3 but short scenes. Boys in tight jeans including one in beige ones. Simple costumes (toys). Not sure about the names (uncredited). The choir (on the vinyl) was Der Kölner Kinderchor (but probably dubbed) and other actors shown.
Has been aired today, but I haven’t seen it completely. Also available online.
Typical comedy/musical film of it’s time also starring Theo Lingen, Ilja Richter, Eddi Arent, Uschi Glas, Peter Weck and some more. Directed by Harald Reinl.
Could be worse.
Rating 3-4 for now only.
