You will find here informations, trailer videos, low-res images and personal comments/ratings. You will not find here complete videos, download links, shopping links etc.
Western starring Roy Rogers -Year: 1946 -Country: USA -Who in clothing: boys ~8-16 ? -Available on DVD: yes
–B&W or color: b&w -I own: no -Clothing occurence: often ? -Rating: 6/10 -Rating:****** -Comment: Another interesting movie, starring Tommy Ivo and also several other (at least 13) boys and teen boys, including 15 yo Tommy Cook, 11 yo Johnny Calkins, 9 yo Teddy Infuhr, The Robert Mitchell Boy Choir (as Ranch boys) and others. Also at least 1 woman wearing a Cowboy hat.
Nice ranch and riding scenes and also showing chaps. Most boys wearing jeans, chaps and hats.
Rating at least 6-7. But I only have checked it briefly. Unfortunatley the movie is in b&w.
There are different DVDs available, I can’t say about each image quality. At least some are DVDr. PD Movie. 68 minutes and 54 minutes cut. So watch out.

Very interesting. Nice costumes. High black hats.

Obviously showing ep 18 (s2e11, 1970) which was about the Wild West.
During research for my other blogs, I stumbled upon this show, I never heard of. The 1st show featuring kids. There is even a DVD but only 3 complete episodes survived along some other fragments.

–B&W or color: color -I own: no -Clothing occurence: low+ ? -Rating: 6/10 ? -Rating: ****** -Comment: Renato Cestiè in dark (blue) knickers with suspenders and a cap. Also other boys and girls.
I found a headshot of him and wasn’t sure if it might be bib overalls and had to search for the movie. I have briefly checked it and it’s very interesting. I have to recheck it at slow speed. I only found a man in shortalls.
Also soon on my pigtails blog. English title: We Are No Angels.
He also starred in Si può fare… amigo (Halleluja…Amigo), rating 4 , in Cure (1973) and also some few other Westerns like “Il ritorno di Zanna Bianca” and Cosi Sia.
Rating at least 5-6 for now. Typical comedy Western.

–B&W or color: b&w, color -I own: no -Clothing occurence: low ? -Rating: 5/10 ? -Rating:***** -Comment: Some (teen) boys, girls and women in Western clothes.
I don’t know the complete series. There were many supporting actors. I only found some few kids including 12 yo Mitch Vogel (“Bonanza”) in s18e4 (color) and Donna Corcoran and others in s2e6 Dear Teacher (pics 2-4). By coincidence I later found a boy (Danny Flower ?) in bib overalls in s13e9 (pic 1, more pics and infos soon on my overalls blog).
Pic 5 showing a young lady in a Cowboy hat in s1e15, maybe Sheila Ryan?
Rating at least 5-6 for now. More episodes needs to be rechecked. Only partly on DVD.
Western series, 146 ep -Year: 1956-1961 -Country: USA -Who in clothing: boys, girls ~9-11 ? -Available on DVD: yes
–B&W or color: b&w -I own: no -Clothing occurence: low ? -Rating: 6/10 ? -Rating:****** -Comment: Some boys and girls in typical western clothes (pants with suspenders). Pic 1 from s1e10 (maybe showing Jimmy Baird (“Fury”)?). In s1e12 there are kids at school. Pic soon on my pigtails blog (rating 4).
Robert aka Bobby Crawford in bib overalls in s5e3 (soon on my bib overalls blog, rating ~6-7). Don Grady in s4e10+11.
I don’t know all episodes but assume rather few scenes of younger actors.
Rating 4 for s1e10+12, probably higher rating for the others. I thought, I already had an entry.
Western series starring Lorne Greene -Year: 1959-1973 -Country: USA -Who in clothing: teen boys ~14-18 -Available on DVD: yes
–B&W or color: color -I own: no, partly TV recording -Clothing occurence: often -Rating: 7/10 -Rating:******* -Comment: Next to Mitch Vogel, there are several other (famous) teen boys acting in this 1972 episode “The Initiation”. Ron Howard (pic 3 on left), Nicolas Beauvy (pic 2), James Van Patten (pic 4 on right ?), Alfred Barker Jr. and Sean Kelly (both also in “The Cowboys 1972” like Nicolas Beauvy), Jeff Smart (“Bless the Beasts & Children”) and some more.
Several scenes of them. Many wearing vests and hats.
I recently find this by searching for Hog Wild (1974) starring Nicolas Beauvy in wet bib overalls (other blog rating 7, still missing pics).
Mickey McGuire short film. Mickey Rooney -Year: 1928 -Country: USA -Who in clothing: boys ~5-11 ? -Available on DVD: no ?
–B&W or color: b&w -I own: no -Clothing occurence: medium ? -Rating: 4/10 ? -Rating:**** -Comment: Several kids including Mickey Rooney (obviously 2 hats at the same time) in Western clothes at least in this episode. I think one girl (tomboy). Probably chaps and riding scenes.
In total, there are 78 Mickey McGuire short films. The earlier ones, including this one are silent films.
Very nice, Our Gang like comedy series. Also some nice scenes in bib overalls (other blog rating 7-(8). Maybe someone can identify an actor there?
